Uganda: Arrest of Nicholas Opiyo is an attack on human rights defenders

Ugandan Human Rights Defender Nicholas Opiyo was unlawfully handcuffed, blindfolded and whisked away by plain clothed police men. On December 24th, he was remanded and detained until December 28th. Below is our statement (in English and French) on his unlawful arrest and detention.
